DataWatch™

In addIn addition to Maintenance and Consulting, we are also offering our DataWatch™ service to satisfy growing customer demands. The DISC service philosophy dictates that changing and evolving customer requirements demand an innovative, timely, solution oriented response from DISC. Our DataWatch™ concept is such a response. For you, our customer, DataWatch™ will provide crucial, qualitative and timely benefits that are fully tailored to your individual needs:

• DataMigration We transfer your existing data and or documents to your DISC archives.
• DataRecovery - In case of a disaster, e.g., water or fire damage, DISC will take care of the damaged equipment and salvage what can be salvaged.
• DataHealth Check - We regularly inspect your archives and your storage media providing you with an external audit of your archiving activities.
• DataDestruction - Should the need for data or media destruction arise we will ensure it through a certified, professional disposal program.
• DataMedia Storage Certification - We check and audit the environmental influences your media is subjected to.

MediaWatch™

With the MedWith the MediaWatch™ program DISC offers professional expertise to determine optical media and cross drive compatibility as well as their technical compliance.

• MediaWatch™ Analysis - A quality and performance analysis of your media.
• Signal Testing on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, HD-DVD - A playability test of your media. Tested signals include: Error correction, Jitter, HF-signals, Tracking and Focusing servos, Physical properties.
• Format verification on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, HD-DVD - A conformance test to determine the format specifications that apply.
• Record ability of Media - Recording comparisons with a selected reference recorder. DISC provides a variety of recording drive platforms. The customer selects the platforms to be measured and compared.
• Speed Test - The data transfer rate test. This test is conducted on auxiliary equipment and on a drive selected by the customer.
• Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) - Determine the best write strategy and optimize a mastering process for lowest jitter at minimum cycle times.
• High Speed Parameters Test (HSP) - Identify high speed problems in the media performance above 1x reference speed.
• Climate Chamber - Media tests to determine heat and humidity effects on performance.
• UV Measurements - The light (UV) exposure effects on optical media.
• Visual Inspection - Microscopic media inspection of media with known playability problems.
